New legislation covering people working in the agriculture and food processing industries require that all gangmasters and employment agencies need to be licenced. The Gangmasters Licensing Authority is the regulatory body overseeing labour providers who provide temporary workers in the sectors of agriculture, forestry, horticulture, shellfish gathering and food processing and packaging.
